Graphic Designer

RJ Marx is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team in Appleton, WI. RJ Marx is an established designer, manufacturer and printer of custom vehicle graphics, indoor/outdoor signage as well as apparel decoration specializing in the Fire & Emergency industry. We strive to create high quality and durable products. As part of a team of collaborative professionals, our Graphic Designers must maintain a positive attitude, be results-driven, creatively solve problems and have a flexible approach to projects and technology. Ability to communicate and collaborate is key to our company culture. Daily activities include creating digital design graphics for use in the Fire & Emergency field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design customized graphic materials that connect with our audience
• Take ownership of creative projects from conception to production to install
• Be organized, consistent, and detail-oriented
• Have a holistic understanding of the entire design process
• Have strong process-driven and problem-solving skills
• Be intellectually and visually curious
• Operating and designing with Omega software, Mimaki Solvent printer, and Gerber Edge Thermal printer

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline with professional design experience preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Vector Based Design Technologies with portfolio samples available to review
• Strong familiarity with Adobe plug-ins such as Fine Cut
• Solid understanding on the basic elements of design such as spacing, color, and typography
• Have the skill set to create original artwork within brand standards and target audience
• Energetic, creative, and detail-oriented and possess strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of various print mediums is a plus
• Production design experience is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word

Job Details

• Job Status: Full-time
• Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
• Benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Paid time off
• Schedule: Up to 40 hours/week Monday-Friday
• Location: Appleton, WI 54914
• Experience: Graphic design (2 years Preferred), Adobe Illustrator (2 years Preferred), Adobe Photoshop (2 years Preferred)
